Mt. Juliet Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Mt. Juliet Police responded to a fatal shooting that occurred in the 500 Block of Millwood Lane this evening. Around 7:35 p.m., Mt. Juliet Police officers were summoned to a residence in the Bridgemill of Providence town-home community after a shooting was reported. Once arriving on scene, Officers found a 67-year-old male with an apparent gunshot wound. The 67-year-old male is deceased. No one is in custody, and Mt. Juliet Police are not actively searching for suspects. There is no current danger to the public related to this incident.

“Our department offers our deepest condolences to those affected by this incident,” stated Police Chief James Hambrick. “Our hearts are with you.”

Out of an abundance of caution, Investigators from Mt. Juliet Police Department’s Criminal Investigative Division responded to the scene, and diligently gathered all facts surrounding this incident. At this time, Investigators do not feel that anything criminal occurred.
