Runaway Teen Located After Numerous Tips from Community

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Quickly after Mt. Juliet Police released information regarding the search for runaway teen Travis “Vincent” Walter, numerous tips flooded Mt. Juliet’s emergency communications center. Many of the callers stated that they saw the information posted on social media and possibly knew where Walter was. A tip led to Walter’s location on Hollywood Drive in Old Hickory, and Mt. Juliet Police requested Wilson County Sheriff’s Office to check that location for him. Walter was successfully located at that location around 8:30 p.m. on May 29, 2014, unharmed.

“Our department is so thankful for the many tips that came in to our emergency communications center, and we are thankful that Vincent was located so quickly,” stated Police Lieutenant Tyler Chandler. “The power of a community is much stronger when it’s organized, and social media helps us build that strength through quick communication.”

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Mt. Juliet Police investigators are asking for the community’s assistance in locating a runaway teen. Travis “Vincent” Walter, 16, of Mt. Juliet, ran away from home on Thursday, May 22, 2014, and he failed to appear in juvenile court on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.

Based on the information gathered so far, investigators believe that Walter ran away and is staying somewhere in the Greater Nashville area. Today, investigators received information that Walter was possibly spotted in the Providence MarketPlace area, but he may be attempting to leave the state. Investigators do not believe that Walter is in immediate danger, but he does not have his required medication.
