Investigators Looking to Identify Home Burglars Who Broke into Home to Party

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – A homeowner returned home to find out that people broke-in and partied, causing damage and trashing the home, and the culprits left a receipt behind that could lead to their identity. On August 15, 2014, Mt. Juliet Police officers were summoned to the 100 Block of Augusta Drive to investigate a home burglary. The victim returned home to find the back door kicked-in, and it appeared that people partied in the home. Pizza boxes, busted watermelon, and beer cans littered the floor. However, investigators were able to locate one piece of key evidence: a Walmart receipt.

Investigators followed up with the receipt and reviewed surveillance video at Walmart in Mt. Juliet, where investigators obtained video of the suspects. Two unknown white males and an unknown white female were captured on video in the store. A third unknown white male was waiting outside the store near their getaway vehicle. The four suspects departed Walmart in a black 2002-2006 Nissan Altima that had an unreadable out-of-state tag. In addition, it was discovered that the potential home burglars also shoplifted while in Walmart.

Investigators hope someone in the community will recognize the suspects from the surveillance images so they can be apprehended.
