Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Investigators are seeking information into a $15,000.00 copper theft from a business. Mt. Juliet Police were summoned to Universal Rack Company, located in the 60 block of Athens Drive, in reference to a theft and vandalism investigation on September 28, 2014.
It was determined that on September 28, 2014 around 1:00 a.m., suspects stole over $15,000.00 in copper and caused nearly $1,000.00 in property damage to the business. During the theft, suspects gained entry into a fenced area by cutting a lock to the gate. The suspects also attempted to gain entry into the business’s building by prying the metal siding off the exterior wall. They were unsuccessful and did not make entry.
Video surveillance captured the suspects driving a white late 1990’s model Chevrolet/GMC Suburban that was pulling a large flatbed trailer.
