Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Officers quickly caught up to a man, who was wanted in two counties, after he ran from them. On Sunday, October 25, around 8:40 p.m., officers arrived at Waffle House, located at 236 S Mt. Juliet Road to serve arrest warrants on an employee at the restaurant. Smith County Sheriff’s Office notified Mt. Juliet Police that they had active warrants on Tyler Fowler, 21, of Lebanon.
As officers entered the restaurant, Fowler ran out the back door where he encountered another officer, who deployed a Taser. The Taser deployment was unsuccessful, and Fowler continued to run from officers. After a brief foot chase, Fowler was taken into custody on Crossings Circle.
Fowler was arrested and booked into the Wilson County Jail, charged with evading arrest. He was wanted by Smith County for a Probation Violation, on the original charge of Resisting Arrest, Domestic Assault, and Vandalism; and Trousdale County for a Court Order Violation, on the original charge of a Felony Probation Violation.
