Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – A marijuana grow was discovered inside a home after a man was stopped for driving without a license plate on his car. Today, around 12:30 p.m., an officer stopped a car because it did not have a license plate on it. During the traffic stop, the officer located a jar of marijuana in the back seat, which eventually led to the discovery that the driver, identified as Thomas Gray, 38, of Mt. Juliet was growing marijuana.
When officer’s searched Gray’s East Caldwell Street residence, 12 marijuana plants were discovered. Fertilizer, grow lights, and other drug paraphernalia was also seized during the investigation. Gray was arrested and booked into the Wilson County Jail, charged with Manufacture of a Schedule VI (Marijuana) Drug for Resale and Drug Paraphernalia.
