Runaway 13-year-old Male Located After Vigilant Citizen Reads Public Alert & Spots Teen

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Police have located the runaway 13-year-old male teen, who ran away from his mother in a parking lot. Around 9:30 p.m. today, a parent reached out to police after the child ran away from them. A vigilant citizen spotted the runaway on S. Rutland Road near Providence Trail after reading a public alert around 11:19 p.m. An officer apprehended the teen shortly after the vigilant citizen notified the emergency communications center. Thankfully, the runaway teen was found unharmed.

Personnel from Mt. Juliet Police, Mt. Juliet Fire, and Wilson County EMA responded to the area to search for the teen. Members of Wilson County Emergency Services Rehab Association – Rehab 23 also respond to provide water and snacks to responders involved in the search.
