Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Upon checking on a motorist, parked on the side of Lebanon Road, a Mt. Juliet police officer discovered a man that was reported missing in Nashville. On Sunday, August 28, around 7:00 p.m., Officer Cameron Porter observed an SUV parked on the side of Lebanon Road near North Greenhill Road. When Porter stopped to check on the motorist, she discovered an 85-year-old man, who was reported 5 hours earlier as a missing-endangered person due to his age and a medical condition.
The missing person report was filed with Metro-Nashville Police, who entered the man’s personal and vehicle information into a national database. When Porter queried the SUV’s vehicle registration, she was alerted that the vehicle was connected to a missing person. Medics with Wilson County Emergency Management Agency responded to the scene to evalate the man, and they transported him to a local hospital as a precaution. Police officers and animal control cared for the man’s dog until it could be reunited with a family member.
