Investigation Complete on Sunnymeade Drive House Fire

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Following a response to a residential structure fire, Mt. Juliet and State investigators began to look into the cause of the fire. The investigation concluded today around Noon, and the fire was classified as undetermined. Detectives have ruled out arson, and it appears the fire started in the kitchen.

Police Chief James Hambrick met with the family, who was impacted by the fire, this morning to determine their needs. He also offered words of encouragement and delivered multiple gift cards to the 8-member family from the department.

Police Leadership Meets With Family

Many in the community have reached out in an effort to support the family. Police department staff determined that a GoFundMe web donation portal was established by a family member, and it can be accessed at this web address: https://www.gofundme.com/family-w-6-kids-lose-everything . In addition, the police department has established a donation bin in the lobby of headquarters that can be accessed at any time.
