Store Clerk Distracted While Suspect Steals Credit Card from Purse Stored at Cash Register

Detectives are hoping someone in the community will recognize a suspect, who stole a credit card out of a store clerk’s purse. On Wednesday, March 15, 2017, the clerk was distracted by an accomplice while another suspect stole credit cards out of her purse, which was stored behind the cash register. After both suspects left the store, Klothes N Motion, located at 2226 N. Mt. Juliet Road, the clerk noticed items missing from her purse.

After stealing the victim’s credit card, one of the suspects was captured on surveillance video using the card to make a $430 purchase at Target, located at 401 S. Mt. Juliet Road. Detectives are hoping someone in the community will recognize the suspect from the surveillance video so they can be apprehended.

Mt. Juliet Police recommend to anyone working in a retail or restaurant establishment to lock-up their valuables in a locker or secure area away from view.
