Just near midnight, Mt. Juliet officers were alerted by the Metro-Nashville Police Department (MNPD) about illegal street racing activity on Lebanon Rd near Andrew Jackson Blvd. MNPD’s special unit officers attempted to stop the illegal activity, but the vehicles fled in multiple directions. One of those vehicles continued at an extremely fast speed eastbound on Lebanon Rd into Mt. Juliet. There was no active pursuit.
Two Mt. Juliet officers clocked the vehicle at over 100 MPH at different points along Lebanon Rd, but they could not pursue. On Lebanon Rd near Benders Ferry Rd, the vehicle crashed into two other vehicles, which caused those vehicles to rollover.
