Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – A 3-car rollover crash, with minor injuries, led to the closure of N. Mt. Juliet Road this afternoon. Shortly after 1:30 p.m. a Toyota 4Runner, operated by a 21-year-old male, was traveling northbound in the center turn lane when it struck a Ford C-Max, operated by a 33-year-old female, head-on. The Ford C-Max was waiting to turn into the Post Office and sitting stationary in the turn lane.
After striking the Ford, the 4Runner began to roll and barely struck a Dodge Challenger, operated by a 57-year-old female. The 4Runner then landed on its side.
The Ford had two other passengers, a 29-year-old female and 21-year-old female, in the vehicle.
The driver of the 4Runner stated that he had fell asleep at the wheel after working long hours at work. Thankfully, there were not serious injuries as a result of the crash. Mt. Juliet Road was closed for approximately 40 minutes while crews worked to clear the scene.
