Crime Suppression Unit Detective Recognized for Drug Enforcement Efforts

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – A Mt. Juliet Crime Suppression Unit (CSU) detective was recognized by the Tennessee Narcotic Officers Association (TNOA) for his recent strong, efforts in a drug investigation. CSU Detective Justin Cagle received an Award of Recognition at the recent TNOA annual conference for a large, successful Mt. Juliet drug investigation. TBI Special Agent Rebekah Waterston, who was influential in the success of the investigation, received the same recognition for her assistance.

The investigation resulted in a 16-count indictment related to the sale of illegal narcotics from a cell phone shop, where multiple drug transactions were conducted from the inside. Throughout the course of the entire investigation, more than 264 grams of heroin, 64 grams of methamphetamine, and 452 Xanax pills were seized. This was the largest heroin investigation that Mt. Juliet Police has conducted.
