Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Investigators are hoping the public can identify two men who used a victim’s credit card information on a cloned card to make three purchases, spending more than $700.00. The victim, who lives in East Tennessee and doesn’t know how her credit card information was cloned, noticed the charges on her account on January 9, 2016 after the suspects made their purchases.
In Mt. Juliet, the suspects used the card at Ross’s Dress for Less, TJ Maxx, and Publix. At the time of the fraudulent transactions, the card owner still possessed the actual credit card. However, at some point, the card was skimmed or duplicated on a fraudulent card.
Two men were captured on surveillance video using the fraudulent card, and investigators are hoping someone in the community will recognize the suspects.
Anyone with any information regarding the suspects are encouraged to call the Mt. Juliet Police Department at (615) 754-2550. Information can also be given anonymously by calling (615) 754-TIPS (8477) or via the Mt. Juliet Police Department website at http://www.mjpd.org/ .
