Suspect Who Ran from Officers on I-40 Not Apprehended, Police Remain in the Area

Update: Suspect apprehended.

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – 33-year-old Markeus Largent of Elizabethon, TN, who ran from an officer on Interstate 40 near Golden Bear Gateway was not located. He was last spotted entering thick woods in the area between Golden Bear Gateway, Volunteer Boulevard, and Interstate 40. He was wearing a gray t-shirt and khaki shorts. Largent is wanted out of Carter County for a Probation Violation, has a history of theft, and is known to abuse dangerous drugs.

Those in the area of Volunteer Boulevard and Rutland Drive should ensure their cars and homes are secure. Officers have suspended the active search, but many officers will stay in the area. Any who spots Largent or knows his whereabouts are urged to call police.
