Chief James Hambrick Honored as ‘Good Scout’ of the Year

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – The community came together to honor Chief James Hambrick as the ‘Good Scout’ of the Year. Hosted at St. Stephen Catholic Community, the room was filled with community leaders, families, and scouts as Chief Hambrick was recognized with the top honor.

The award is the Middle Tennessee Council of the Boy Scouts of America’s highest honor for individual citizenship in local communities and distinguishes those who go above and beyond expectations. It celebrates those who truly make a difference, not only because they care, but because they act. – Boy Scouts of America
Captain Tyler Chandler served as the 2023 Mt. Juliet Good Scout event chair and led attendees in the effort to honor Chief Hambrick. During such an effort, the group pledged over $10,000 in fundraising for local Boy Scout troops and gave tribute to his wife, Denise Hambrick, for all her support over the many years.

With over 28 years of service, 11 as Police Chief, the department joins in celebrating the Chief’s strong character, values, vision, and heart for the Mt. Juliet community. The department is thankful for all who contributed to the honor and expression of support.
