The graduation marks an important milestone as both officers begin their careers serving the community they call home.

Chief Tyler Chandler – “I’m proud of Melissa and Terrence and the way they represented Mt. Juliet throughout the academy. Both chose to serve the community where they live, and that says a great deal about their character and commitment. We believe strong relationships, a positive culture, and investing in people matter. When those things come together, they attract talented individuals who are passionate about serving others and making a difference.”

The Mt. Juliet Police Department continues to be a destination agency for men and women pursuing a career in law enforcement. Supported by an engaged community, strong city leadership, modern resources, and a culture focused on service and professionalism, the department consistently attracts a highly qualified applicant pool for a limited number of positions.

Through a rigorous selection process, the department recruits individuals committed to excellence, integrity, and public service. That commitment has helped the agency maintain a low vacancy rate, if any, while continuing to strengthen partnerships and enhance public safety throughout the community.
