Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Investigators are hoping the public can identify suspects involved in credit card fraud where they illegally used cloned cards from two different victims to purchase gift cards. The alleged suspects’ actions were captured on Walgreen’s surveillance video after they spent over $800.00 in two different transactions, using two different cloned cards from two different victims on November 10, 2015. The suspects attempted to just use one card for the total purchase at Walgreens, located at 11185 Lebanon Road.. However, the victim’s bank flagged the first card, so the suspects had to use a second cloned card to finish their purchase.
At the time of the fraudulent transactions, the card owners still possessed their credit cards. However, at some point, the cards were skimmed and duplicated on a fraudulent card.
Two women were captured on surveillance video using the fraudulent cards, and investigators are hoping someone in the community will recognize the suspects.
Anyone with any information regarding the suspects are encouraged to call the Mt. Juliet Police Department at (615) 754-2550. Information can also be given anonymously by calling (615) 754-TIPS (8477) or via the Mt. Juliet Police Department website at http://www.mjpd.org/ .
