Detectives Investigating Robbery of Quality Inn; Suspects Connected to Recent Nashville area Hotel Robberies

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Two men, one armed with a knife, entered Quality Inn this morning, demanding cash from an employee. Around 5:09 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2017, Mt. Juliet Police officers responded to an armed robbery at the Quality Inn (1000 Herschel Dr) hotel after an employee called 911 to report a robbery. Prior to police arrival, the suspects fled the area in a Nissan Altima after stealing cash from behind the front counter.

Detectives responded to the scene to conduct a comprehensive investigation. It was revealed that an adult, white male suspect entered the hotel first. That suspect jumped the front counter and presented a knife to the employee. During the confrontation, the suspect told the employee to lay down in the back room. Another suspect, who had their face hidden, entered the hotel shortly after the first and jumped the counter. After stealing an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspects ran out of the store to a light colored, newer-model Nissan Altima and fled the area.

Thankfully, no one was injured during this incident. Detectives hope someone in the community will recognize the suspects and their clothing from surveillance video. It is believed the suspects are the same individuals that have been committing other Nashville area hotel robberies in the recent days, and detectives are working with other jurisdictions in collaboration to identify and apprehend the suspects.

If anyone has a feeling that they possibly recognize the suspects responsible for this crime, they are encouraged to call the Mt. Juliet Police Department at (615) 754-2550.
