Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Two adult men were apprehended overnight, after a citizen reported that they were actively breaking into a restaurant. On Saturday, February 3, 2018 around 12:13 a.m., officers were summoned to the Don Pancho Mexican Restaurant, at 300 Pleasant Grove Road, in regards to an active burglary in progress. An arriving officer witnessed the suspects fleeing the scene in a stolen Ford F250 pickup, and the suspects failed to stop for the officer.
Officers chased the suspects to Interstate 40 West, where the pursuit ended at the Nolensville Road and Thompson Lane intersection in Nashville. While entering the intersection the suspects struck a minivan that was occupied by an adult male and female. Following the crash, both suspects were apprehended without further incident. An officer received a minor injury during the apprehension, but it was not related to an assault. Mt. Juliet officers were assisted by Wilson County Sheriff’s Deputies in the apprehension, and the Metro-Nashville Police Department investigated the crash.
Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as 31-year-old Jimmy Galindo of Nashville, was a wanted felon for over 19 charges across Davidson, Williamson, Sumner, and Dickson counties. He also has a revoked driver’s license and lengthy criminal history related to assault, illegal drugs, burglary, and theft.
