Police Clear Incident in Cobblestone Landing Neighborhood

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Police have cleared an incident in the Cobblestone Landing neighborhood, after receiving a report of an armed person inside a home near the intersection of Warren Hill Drive and Settlers Court. Officers were originally summoned to the scene around 12:26 p.m. today after receiving a report of an adult person, undergoing mental health crisis, inside the home alone.

Multiple officers responded to the scene, including members from the department’s Special Response Team and Tennessee Highway Patrol’s Special Operations Team.

After crisis negotiators exhausted all means to make contact with the person inside, a THP robot was used to enter the home. An adult person was found deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted injury. That person did not live at the home nor had permission to be inside.

During the incident and as a precaution, residents nearby were asked to shelter-in-place. Wilson County Schools were also notified, and school buses did not drop-off children near the scene. Responders from the Fire Department of Mt. Juliet, Wilson County Emergency Management Agency, and Rehab 23 were also on scene and provided assistance.
