Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – The investigation continues into the theft that occurred at Target and identity of the driver that fled officers in a stolen truck Saturday evening. In addition, Chief Hambrick has tasked the department’s investigative division with the case.
“I’ve assigned this case to our Investigative Division because I want to ensure the complete resources and capabilities of our department are utilized to quickly identify and apprehended the driver,” stated Chief James Hambrick. “It is obvious that this individual is dangerous and has no regard to safety of our community. He needs to be apprehended and held responsible.”
The Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the crash, and they will be the proper agency to release the crash details. The pursuit was captured on the pursuing officer’s in-car camera system, and the department will release the video as soon as possible and when deemed appropriate to not hinder the investigation.
The department’s prayers are with those injured in this incident and their families.
